Lifespan. Compared to OLEDs, LCDs have been on the market for a longer period of time, therefore more evidence supports their lifespan. The typical lifespan of an LCD has been demonstrated to be 60,000 hours, or 2,500 operating days. Most LCDs should perform consistently for around 7 years.
It uses 3.3 volts for both of its I2C ports. Any 3.3v or 5v combination is acceptable for I2C devices purchased from Sparkfun, Adafruit, SeeedStudio, Parallax, or Pololu.
The majority of hardware runs between 1.8 V and 5.2 V in voltage. The backlight circuit, however, runs between 15 and 20 volts. The backlight components are more vulnerable to damage from a short circuit at this greater voltage. As a result of water damage, the high voltage backlight circuit is also vulnerable to corrosion.
The liquid crystals in the LCD glass may require higher voltages than the device itself, which typically operates at 3.3 volts. Although the glass supply voltage biasing may not be ideal, it might be able to provide negative contrast voltages to better drive the glass.
TN (twisted nematic), IPS (in-plane switching), and VA (vertical alignment) are the three subcategories of LCD displays. Each of these screen kinds has distinct properties that are almost all related to how images appear on different screen types.
At Touch Taiwan in August 2018, Innolux debuted the first 100-inch 16K8K (15360 8640) display module ever made.
I2C is better suited for communication with a large number of peripherals as well as situations involving dynamic switching of the principal device role among peripherals over the I2C bus, whereas SPI is preferable for high speed and low power applications.
Connection of a 16x2 Character LCD to an ArduinoThis aids in having four I/O pins! o Only the following ix pins are needed to link the LCD in 4-bit mode: R, EN, D7, D6, D5, and D4. Attach the EN pin to digital pin 11, the R pin to digital pin 12, and the LCD's four data pins (D4-D7) to digital pins 5 to 2 on the Arduino.

27 0x0x27 is the default address; but, in certain cases, it can be 0x3F. The device address can be changed by shorting the A0/A1/A2 pad; for instance, if the pad is horted, A0/A1/A2 is 0. Alternatively, if the default address is 0x27, then A0/A1/A2 is 1.
